Using fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios and rates Students apply fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios and rates in real life contexts. Students interpret and apply proportional reasoning using shapes, objects and problem solving skills. Using spatial reasoning Students make sense of the space around them.
Students describe their immediate environment and sort and identify key features in the context of shapes. This area is key to students developing the ability to read and draw maps and use vocabulary relevant to direction.
